Chapter 17

While Mike was distacted I punched him in the cheek. He fell backwards on his butt. I stood up and punched him in the face with one final blow. He was noked out. I  looked at Mike one last time and walked over to Shawnee. I picked her up and layed her gently on the bed. I then flung Mike over my sholder and jumped out the window.
Kimi ran up to me.
"Check on Shawnee. She hit the wall pretty hard. I'll be back in a minute." I said passing her and heading straight to the house.
I sat him in the chair on the porch and ran back to Greg's. I flung myself into the window, scaring Kimi.
My knees buckled and I fell to the ground.
"Jason!" Kimi said running to me.
I stopped her, "I'm okay."
I stood back up. I walked over to Shawnee and sat down on the bed. I put her head in my lap. I looked at her in her peaceful sleep. I leaned down and kissed her lips. Her eyes fluttered. I kissed her again, this time harder. Her eyes slowly opened and I smiled.

Shawnee
I saw by his expression that he had won the fight. I wrapped my arms around his torso and cryed. He hugged me back, "Let's go to the beach."
I nodded. jason stood up with me in his arms.
"Stop right there!" we whirled around and saw Greg standing in the doorway, "That will have to wait until after breakfast."
"No!" Greg turned around and revealed Sherry, "You guys go." she said looking at us.
"Sherry-"
"No Greg. I'll tell you everything later." Sherry said waving us to go.
Jason nodded, grabbing Kimi around her waist and jumping out the window. We landed on the ground and jumped into the car.
Jason jumped in the driver's seat, "But-"
Jason put a finger on my lips, "You can drive us home."
Jason started the car and we sped off out of the neiborhood.
Kimi was freaking out when we got into the woods, "Are you sure this is the way to the beach?"
"Yes, Kimi." Jason and I said at the same time.
We arrived at the hill and I climbed out of the car. Jason came around and helped me walk up the hill. I heard Kimi get out of the car and hurry after us. When we reached the top I breathed in the fresh sea air and look at my surounding.
"Wow!" Kimi said standing next to us.
I smiled,"Welcome to California, Kimi."
Kimi smiled and skipped down the hill,"I'll meet you guys at the bottom!"
"Can you go down alone or do you need help?"Jason asked.
I looked at him,"I can do it."
"I'm gonna get the stuff then."he said letting me go.
I walked down slowly and laughed at Kimi's excitment.
"Oh Shawnee, It's so beautiful!"She said when I got to the bottom.
"Yep." I said looking up at Jason who was carring the chairs down.
"Aw, your so sweet." Jason said putting the stuff down and walking to me, "Did you know why this place is special to Shawnee, Kimi?" he wraped his arms around me.
"Oh no." I muttered hiding in Jason's arms.
"Why?" Kimi asked mystified.
"This is were I took  Shawnee on our first date."Jason said proudly.
"Awwwwww!" Kimi gushed.
"Do you have to embarress me?" I asked Jason.
"Sorry. It's a habit." he said chuckling.
Kimi grabbed my arm and pulled me out of Jason's arms and ran out torwards the sea. My hand reached out to Jason instinctivly to Jason and he grabbed it. We ran together into the ocean. "Ohmygosh it's warm!"Kimi gushed.
"Yeah. That's one of the reasons why I love this beach." I said with a sigh. Jason sqeezed my hand. I gave a sqeeze back.
